1. CERTIFICATE COURSE IN INFORMATION AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY :

It is a career oriented course for 1 year certificate. It was started in the year 2009 with UGC fund for 5 years. At present it is running as a self funding programme with a small fee from the students. At present the Co-ordinator is L. Ranjit Singh, HOD and Associate Professor, Department of Physics.

Objective:
The objective of the course is to provide computer knowledge and skills to the students at low cost.

Course content:
The course consists of 3 papers each of 100 marks.
1. Paper 101 Theory – Basic computer programming, etc.
2. Paper 102 Theory – Applications.
3. Paper 103 Practical – Project / practicals related to 101 and 102.

2. CERTIFICATE COURSE IN BEE KEEPING:

Certificate Course in Beekeeping was introduced at G.P. women’s College Imphal as an Add on course under the scheme of Career Oriented Course (COC) programme with a degree Certificate to the students since 2015, under University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi, (Approval letter no. and Date : No. F. 1-I/2012(COC) on dated April, 2013, Sanction order no. F.No.4- 128/2013-14.dated 25th June 2015). At present the Coordinator is N. Nando Singh, Associate Professor, Geography Department. The College has the facilities for theoretical, practical and inspection to live bee colony within the College campus. Students may take the advantage of it and have a career or a part time Job opportunity in future after the college life.

Objective:
The objective of the scheme is to introduce career and market oriented, skill enhancing add-on courses that have utility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students. At the end of three years, the students will be equipped with a certificate in an add-on course along with a conventional degree in Science or Arts.

Certificate Course in Mushroom Cultivation is an UGC sponsored programme for 5 years. It is a One year Certificate Course and was introduced at G.P. women’s
College Imphal as an Add on course under the scheme of Career Oriented Course (COC) programme with a degree Certificate to the students since 2016. At present the Co-ordinator is Dr. Akoijam Nirmala Devi, Associate Professor, Department of Botany.

The objective of the scheme is to introduce career and market oriented, skill enhancing add-on courses that have utility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students.
